There are no tests, however, all participants must be able to recite the rules of firearm safety before they leave the class. All students will handle unloaded revolvers and semi-autos and must be able to demonstrate their safe operation. Upon successful completion of the class, students will receive a certificate along with NRA's Home Firearms Safety Book, a list of area gun clubs and stores, information on the NRA and Gun Owners Action League, constitutional information, criminal statistics, a condensed version of Mass. gun laws, and condensed versions of all the states gun laws (provided they are in print). The course fee is $75.00.
